Welcome to our Governors’ section.
The Governing Body is a group of individuals who are elected, nominated or co-opted from key stakeholder groups: parents, staff, the Local Authority and the local community. Each Governor serves for a term of four years and works to ensure the school delivers the highest possible standard of education for the children at Daylesford.
The Governing Body is bound by a statutory responsibility and operate at a strategic level. As part of this they adopt, review and monitor a range of key policies that govern the operation of the school including Health and Safety, Behaviour, Complaints, Child Protection, Safeguarding, Attendance, Curriculum and Performance Management. There is a named Governor with a responsibility for Safeguarding who meets with the Headteacher on a regular basis to support and challenge school leaders in this area of their work

The Full Governing Body meet at least once a term and there are other committees, which have specific responsibilities, and report back at Full Governors' Meetings. The sub-committees are as follows:
