What is Pupil Premium?
The pupil premium grant, which is additional to main school funding for publicly funded schools in England, is provided to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.
At Daylesford, we want every pupil to reach their potential. Pupil premium funding provides the opportunity to tackle national inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers. We want this funding to have the maximum possible impact upon those entitled to it and so we identify needs of groups and individuals as well as barriers to learning which may be preventing children from matching their peers in terms of attainment and/or progress in an effort to provide the most appropriate support. By tailoring the support provided through the use of the pupil premium funding we can make the best use of the additional money. Evaluating the effectiveness and impact of previous spending enables careful planning of intervention strategies.
The documents below outline the impact of support provided as a result of pupil premium funding and detail the funding allocation received by the school each year.
